Lincoln

After we got to Lincoln Ernie took the kid's swimming and then we all went out for lunch with my uncle and his family. At this point in our two day trip we were all trying to convince Ernie to take us on up to Mt.Rushmore since we were so close you know! He thought we were all crazy and kept saying "NO". My uncle was just laughing b/c he knew that we would probably be going.
So late Friday night Ernie looked up how far it would be and finally said "Okay let's go" So Saturday morning we woke up and started heading north. We have never done anything this spontaneous in our marriage. We had know idea what hotel we were going to stay in or where exactly we were going to stay. All we knew was that it should only take us about 6-7hrs. from Lincoln. We did not even call anyone back home to tell them where we were going. We thought we would just call when we got there.

The only thing Ernie said was that we had to hit the local WM for some new undergarments. I just told him to turn his inside out. That did not fly. While we were in WM we were going to pick up some Dramamine,(i have a little one that gets car sick),children's pepto, pamprin, and Ernie found his favorite tummy med. (that everyone here quit selling )and he bought all that was on the self(4big bottles of rolaids special brand). Needless to say when we checked out we looked like we were hurting in some area's. Underware,pepto,4bottles of rolaids,pamprin,and Dramamine.LOL
