New Cast

WOW! Did we have a busy day. First we had to go back to the Dr. for Caleb's cast re-check. They first had to cut off the orange one, then they x-rayed his arm again. They told us it is healing really good, BUT we need to put back on another cast for a couple of more weeks. BOO! Caleb was really hoping not to have another one. On the bright side of things he got to pick out a new color and I was able to take him to the bathroom and washed off his arm REALLY good. Yes, he was starting to have a little stinch coming from his arm. I mean he is a six year old little boy after all.
He choose red for the K.C. Chiefs. It was either that or purple for K-State. His Dad put both colors up to his arm to see which would look better and they thought red would. I am not kidding!!
Getting his orange cast cut off. It was really loud so he had Ernie cover his ears.

Putting the new one on. All of the Dr.'s and Nurses kept telling him that he was a very good patient. I was thinking to myself "I wonder if our Dr. remembers the time he gave me a phone # to a children's psychologist b/c Caleb was acting totally out of control at one of his apt. when he was three". My Dr. even told him at this apt. to sit down and be quite while he talked to me. Needless to say I left that apt. TOTALLY embarrassed. I am very thankful to say that I never did call the psychologist and he has grown out of that for the most part.
